Yes, you could replace the transformer for the heaters. I assume you've added up the heater currents and they are less than 1.5A.
Another way to do dit. If there's space in the set for a tiny extra mains transfomer you could use a buck arrangement. A transformer with a 20V or so secondary connected in series with the primary of the set's own transformer so as to drop the voltage. Even a really small transformer will be big enough for this.
Within reason, the HT won't be critical. You need a resistor in series with the HT rectifier anyway so that can just be a bit higher than the usual 100R or so.
