How is a circle open? It's a closed loop surely, the snake eating it's tail and all that cosmic goodness. I dig what your saying about it's a big old world an all that but I just don't see that a circle means off to the majority of human beings. And how the Dickins is a stick/letter I supposed to mean on? A better solution would be red and green, a pretty universal indication of stop and go.
I know I'm being a bit pedantic and a bit picky but for the life of me I don't accept most folk intuitively see a circle as "off"
"With this artificial intelligence" Don't go there Tracey... Heard a bloke on the radio this morning saying it's no good telling folk to stick to having two kids ( al la Prince Will) to help save the planet an all that and that technology is the answer. He cited the industrialisation of farming practices after WW2 as a shining example of tech, whilst forgetting that the same is part of the problem, EG increased methane, dependance on oil based fertilisers = increased global temperaturs, etc. Every technological advance brings improvement in one area, problems in another, like daft switches that baffle folks like me.
Andy.
