Diamondhead, there's a band from the past, probably still gigging though, think I saw them at Derby assembly rooms. Can't remember the guitarist at all but your old dear even knows his name.

Mum actually knows/has worked with Brian Tatler, on a television documentary. Diamondhead were touring eighteen years before she was born though! Otherwise, I don't think she's a Rock savant particularly.

Dads old guitar, a EVH Peavey is still here, still strung upsidedown with controls missing. Mum never liked it much but won't be rid of it. He didn't loose any fingers, but cut through the tendons in his ring and little finger, and couldn't close his hand properly even after an operation to repair them. He never was really successful in relearning, though he even tried one of those "guitar wizard" aluminium thingies to do the fret fingering for him, playing right handed.

Django Reinhardt. Amie, if you haven't heard his recordings then find some. Proves how a few missing fingers didn't stop a world class musician.

Yes Jeffrey, I do know his music, want to see the biopic someday too, sometimes I can get a continental radio station in the evenings here that plays a lot of blues and jazz oriented music, he seems to get a regular airing.

Oh, and Mr Sutherland is apparently now in the UK doing a concert as I write, he's a singer songwriter as well as an actor it seems, good for him! That series he was in has just been cancelled my friend told me.
