Radio controlled clock problem

I've fixed it. Opened it up (4 screws nice and easy), desoldered the sounder, done.

I think I also found how to turn the alarm on and off. The button on the top operated a push-push switch plus another mechanism. This makes it show read or black behind the bell symbol near 10 o'clock. Either the switch mechanism is faulty or I was incredibly unlucky not to leave the alarm muted for at least some of the time.
