Just spoken to an old colleague that has one of these amps and done loads in his time, (EX organist from the "Dead end Kids") he says the switch issue is as common as muck and takes out the rather under rated bridge. replace the duff parts and stop worrying (so long as the bodger hasn't been there first) and it will be fine.
