I removed one of the tone control pots just to check, and measuring from what I would know as the hot end of the track is 18k and from the earthy end of the track which I believe is the same as your anticlockwise end is 3k. So it would appear to be log law.
I have not as yet tried any foam in the cavity to see if it improves the sound when the back is on.
