Looking in the limited number of publications I have, I found an article in the Journal of The Television Society, vol.4, No.1 (March 1944):
"U.H.F. and post-war broadcasting" by K.I. Jones and D.A. Bell (Messrs. A.C. Cossor). It is 4 pages.
It mentions 525/50 3.2MHz.
I'll scan it and email it to you.
