Fine Jeffrey, but, given what she has told me, I don't think she needs anything like the 36 Gbps of FTTC*, which is why I wanted to find out if there is a way of finding out the lowest speed she needs to suit her usage.

Hence the request for a way of simulating a lowish speed network.

* Considering the spread of FTTC, I would expect that to be available but I don't know for sure.
