Here's a picture of my Myford ML7 which I bought in 1964 and have used many times but gradually over the years I have used it less and less. I sold it in the summer of 2017 prior to moving house and downsizing. Photo taken in 2017.
I'm starting to look for a small one that takes up no more than about 2 - 3 sq ft of bench space but have been put off a little by Col's (retired) comment about some little ones doing no more than scratching instead of cutting.
I only have some very small projects in mind, bearings and bushes for the dial mech. of a valved comms. receiver. I sometimes use my bench drill with a hand tool sideways to make small stuff like spacers but accurate bearings are a bit difficult that way.
