I have finished the recap, all the old capacitors have been re-stuffed.
Some of the resistors are a little off spec. but not by too much, I will see how things go when I power it up.
The idea has been to try and keep the chassis looking as it did before the work of changing the capacitors. It was nice to see in amongst the odd Dubilier capacitor that many others were made by STC.
The volume/reaction control seems to be working, there is the occasional jump when turning the knob and watching the resistance go up, but I hope it will be OK when tested.
I have been checking the wiring and remaking some of the terminations in the wander plugs.
I have also been checking the loudspeaker and removing some of the rust, there was a little scratching when the diaphragm was moved but this has gone following giving the centre of the cone and speech coil a good suck with the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
So I am just about there, ready to get some suitable power supplies together and test the radio.
Mike
