Wide screen has just taken over, I dont find wide screen monitors very useful at all. I dont stare at the PC screen viewing films, I sit in my armchair, and I can only edit a small part of an image at any one time. Being able to have a large pixel height is useful to me.
It is a pity they dont sell conventional flat screen monitors at the budget prices of the wide screen ones, my old 1920 x 1600 CRT monitor that was chucked out from work was great till it packed up.
