Second malwarebytes. Does a scan on startup. And blocks access to websites that it identifies as being high risk of PUP/malware downloads. I also use Sophos, which does on-access scanning. But I do a full scan every now and again. And I run C-Cleaner to get rid of garbage and tracking files. For password management I use Dashlane. The paid for version checks all passwords for leaks to the darkweb. Last two (unique maximum entropy) leaks were from Facebook and Twitter. And you heard nothing about that in the media. Dashlane makes it easy to replace compromised passwords with another maximum entropy one.
Windows firewall and defender run in the background.
Between that lot, it makes it very difficult for anyone to sneak malware in. Not impossible, but like home security the aim of the game is to make it as difficult as possible.
