We once had a cat, when I was little, which was sick in the bath when we were out. I think it was trained enough to understand what to do.

My cat occasionally uses the Bath as a Litter tray (usually when he can't get to the litter tray for some reason). While it's most annoying and a bit disgusting, I'd rather have to clean up a waterproof surface than a carpet or rug etc. Cats are a lot smarter than people give them credit for, but I think some are just a bit cantankerous which gives the impression of stupidity.
