Hi.
As you may know the Radiomuseum has quite stringent rules regarding photos and diagrams. Initially I fell foul with my scans. i was using Mint's "Simple scan" although it can go PNG and JPG even the PNG was rather poor. I then downloaded Xsane from the software manager, it is easy to use and produces excellent scans, you can scan in colour, greyscale and other options also vastly different sizes and resolutions. I've scanned and uploaded the Chapman Tuner instruction book which is small and the result is very good indeed.
