Trying to get my head round your thread Terry.... 25mm = 1", got that, it's the 8 exclamation mark I'm struggling with. Do you mean they were 8 inch's long, or size 8. Also why would a shop in Rotterdam be selling Imperial screws. Or do you mean you went to the trouble of converting inches to mm, then ended up with Imperial anyway.
Sorry if I'm being dense, not trying to ruin your joke, though I do have bad form on this score. Was it the Irishman who said "Mines a pint" or the Nun. Or was it the horse? And why is the horse up a tree in the first place, horses can't climb.
