The things people do! Was the replacement meant for car audio?
I've had a quick look at my records, and think I might be able to part with a speaker. I'm quite busy at the moment, so it'll be a while before I can get up into the attic and find it, but if you remind me in a few weeks time, I should be able to find it and get it in the post.
I've always found RF alignment to be a particular pain with this model, and have always ended up having to compromise. Most unlike Hacker. Still, I think they sound quite nice for an AM set, and because of the way the case comes apart, it's quite easy to replace the foam behind the Rexine.
No, there shouldn't have been anything left in the aerial socket...
