Sorry to add yet another post to what Mark quite rightly says is a rather dead thread, but I am not yet convinced that the issue has been understood yet. The CD, when played in my PC with the original DVD drive was very distorted. It was not just an issue with ripping the CD it was both Play and Rip.
But anyway we got around it.
