The video input and output should be easy enough to modify. Very little change should be needed. Not sure what changes would be needed to the interpolator. The really messy bit would be sorting out the logic. Darius used a somewhat wild and woolly mixture of TTL and CMOS. Assuming everything else would interface to 3.3V CMOS the easy answer is to drop in an FPGA module such as the one used by Frank in Hedghog.
