I havn't listened to radio Veronica for a while, in fact I had totally forgotten about its existance, thanks for the tale Terry.
It reminds me of the day I took my new tranny into school to show off, come morning assembly time I put it into my blazer pocket. During the quiet bit at prayers it became apparent that it wasnt quite turned off so I put my hand into the pocket and switch it off. I turned the volume up instead of down and everybody heard it. Very embarasing as I fumbled to actually make it quiet.
I cant remember if that radio was one which my Dad made out of a kit of three sub assemblies which just needed soldering together, it came from Laskys or Henrys or somewhere similar.
It didn't last long and Dad gave it to a friend at work to fix, I never saw it again I do know, how many times has that happened?
