Going back to my original post, I blamed a cat for chewing through the rope stay for my aerial mast. I think I may have been wrong, we have now seen a fox making regular trips over the roof of the shed, and I think it is far more likely that a fox would chew through a rope.
The cats seem to like sniffing and rubbing where the foxes have gone, what I saw the cats doing was probably just that, re-marking their territory.
So sorry to all the cats passing through our garden, I dont think it was you guys after all.
But you make sure you leave the pigeons alone wont you. (We are now on the 4th clutch of baby pigeons)
