I'd like to see your ultimate circuit. A few years ago some of us made a minimalistic superhet radio on the old VRAT forum, mine was, ECH81, EF91 & EL95, later I changed the EF91 to an EF184 it gave much better performance as the anode bend detector. I'd like to try a similar set up with rod pentodes. May not be this year though as there is a lot going on here.
