Mains supply to workshop

To correct myself its a spur from the ring main (downstairs mains supply) which is on an rcd in the fuse box (I had my house rewired by a qualified NICIEC electrician). The spur is fused yet again at the wall (13A) leading out to the garden on armoured cable (about 8m) to the workshop shed which is again fused (too many fuses). I would have thought that the most load that this will ever have on it (worse case) will be 2.5kw.
