Improving the anode bend detector. A Mazda octal valve socket has been fitted in lieu of the original International Octal one. An SP61 high slope pentode replaces the 6J7G. No changes to component values although I might try some experimentation of the values of the cathode bias resistor, it's presently 15Kohm with a 25mfd bypass capacitor.
The improvement in sensistivity is impressive, using a ten foot long aerial wire more distant MW stations are coming in now. However, selectivity remains poor.
