Hi Jeremy, i restored a console Murphy, using only stain, and Briwax, this wax is pricey, but you do get what you pay for, im not into wire wool, i use very fine wet or dry paper 500 grit, which does give good results. The radio i waxed only gets a polish as and when and it still looks lovely...regards.....Al
