i agee whth luke about caps in modern consumer electronics. cheep caps are a no no in any smps it amazes me that lcd tvs and computer monitors are being bined for the sake of £ 4 worth of components 90% of the faults are in the power suply normaly obvious by bulged out caps 5% will be sc inverter transistors and the other 5% will bethe complex bits i always use low ers caps to repair smps ,so if you need to make a few bob its worth looking at them, i do not include plazma tvs any one know what kills off the x+y mod panels in lg sets?
