TVs used as professional monitors

I have in my Library a copy of the BBC Engineering specification TV1282 for "General Purpose television colour picture monitors". Dated 1984. It is very comprehensive, some 120+ pages. I expect it would have had predecessors.

I recall seeing an EBU monitor spec, but I can't seem to find it.

On the subject of monitors I am on the lookout for a couple of really old ones that are very hard to find. A Pye 842822 and EMI commentators special..   www.mcr21.org.uk
