Hi.
Well I'm no authority and its 40 years since I worked as a Relay station trainee technician. Allegedly they Used quite sophisticated vestigal filtering in the 405 line era as certain parts of Ayrshire were awash with signals, Northern Ireland CH9 next to our CH10 and band 1 fully filled from 1 to 5 With the Carrick Hill relay TX causing lots of issues with CH3 from Central Scotland from Shotts. So for me I use Ch's 1, 3 & 5 with the auroras, and 9 & 11, 11 is a broadcast kit modulator and is just a test card and music.
I have no issues except a very little disturbance from CH1 to CH2 if I swap one aurora to 2 instead of 3.
