Post 3 is wrong for two reasons: first, increasing spacing DECREASES capacitance, not increases it. Second, if the dielectric constant of oxide is 10 (I thought it was 3, but that's just a detail), then 0.01mm of oxide is equivalent to 0.001mm of air, not 0.1mm.
Oxidising th plates does change capacitance, we're just disagreeing in which direction!
