I also have an SMG1 up in the attic - was working last time I checked it. Lovely things - built like tanks! Let me know if you need me to check anything with mine, and it's possible I might have a spare paper copy of the manual somewhere. I use the much smaller SMG40 in the workshop, but that lacks an FM modulator, so I have to use my HP8656A for that.
