Yes it would, I can't remember the model number of the TV that I'm thinking about but I'm fairly sure it was of the BRC stable eg: HMV, Ferguson etc and that the coil former was not the usual nylon/bakelite etc, possibly stiff cardboard, also seem to remember that the aluminium slug was slotted not hex.
