I've searched Lissen, nothing like, and Ever Ready, no 6+ valve sets with Ct8 vakves, all look nothing like, more old fashioned.
Pye made very few side contact valve sets, certainly no 6+ valvers.
I'm looking 1938 till 1944, the Mullard reds came out I think in 1938, there seems to be no Ct8 sets before 1938.
Alba 830 and 730 are 6 valve models from 1939 with ECH3 but now I realise it may be a 7 valve, it may well have an eye.
Alba 98 has 8 valves, EF8, ECH2, EF9, EB4, EBC3, EL3, EL3, AZ3.
None of these models look remotely like this set.
On the top right of the dial there appears to be a cluster of lights, wave band indicator? there is a loom of wires going that way and maybe across for an eye too.
