Thank you for your welcoming comments. I’ve put for my avatar the signal strength meter of my ‘old faithful’ Vortexion WVA which has been with me since 1981 and was the start of my serious interest in ‘proper’ tape recorders.

I realise that it is mostly milliamperes here; today at work I have been looking at uprating a pump control panel that runs two 132kW motors rated at 229A each!
