I recall an Ekco set from the early 50s (monochrome, of course!) with two parallel heater chains - one series of valves had 100mA heaters and the other had 200mA heaters. These were then combined and in series with some 300mA heaters - the CRT and line outout, from memory.
This was while I was still at school, though - I don't recall ever seeing this unusual Mazda arrangement again throughout my working life.
We were Bush and PYE dealers so, although we repaired anything that came to us, any set fitted with Mazda valves was a rarity.
