I have successfully mounted neodymium magnets trying to repel when making water scale stoppers, its not easy but possible.
I have wondered how they ever get to me from China in a paddy bag, I imagine a Postal Sorting machine covered with magnetic parcels inside!
We used to ship microwave magnetrons without problems but they are close field construction, they are not allowed on aircraft though
