Good to see you around here. One of the problems is the sets history. There is nothing on the net and the person I got it from (Joe Urban in Anstruther) has sadly left our shores. I know Joe did a lot of work for fishermen in his time and I wonder if the whole thing was perhaps his own creation. A serial number of 5 has been etched on the side of the chassis and that's it no other markings. The coils are identical to those used on the Codar CR66 hence the reason I got short wave to work.
The meter and switch on the tip of the case are additions that have never been connected.
