I don't think anything used anything over 30MHz when TV was being developed in the 30's but, on the other hand, the early sets were mainly TRFs, anyway.

But the earliest superhets that I encountered had IFs of 16 & 19.5MHz. Never knew of any examples of SW breakthrough, though ...
