The spread of islamophobia in the UK is very unfortunate. The vast majority of people of all origins, religions etc are entirely decent members of society. A very small number of high profile cases (such as 7/7) has caused a significant backlash. I am Jewish, my people have suffered severe discrimination over mnay centuries, continuing to this day. In the UK there are Jewish and Muslim organisations that work together to combat these problems.

The middle eastern looking guy on the tube could well be Jewish. Or Christian. Or none of the above.
