Geissler tube - looked it up and that sounds about right. There is a terminal at the top and bottom, an electrode top and bottom, a gas connector and two screw valves at the bottom. It is still air tight.
It was an unusual auction - this and 2 other bits I bought by accident that had been included with an inductance. I bid on a inductance (but didn't think I would get it!) and after I won I realized there was the word 'with' in the auction that I hadn't really looked at - no pictures.
