Just to throw in a 'hapeth' about USB scopes, about 10 yeas ago I was doing some work where we needed some form of datalogger and a visual display function was going to be nice so, we bought a Picoscope for the project. It needed to trigger on voltage rise but it proved to be really unreliable; some times it triggered, sometimes not. I definately did not love that thing!
That really put me off USB devices until I encountered a "Swordfish" USB scope made by a US company called EasySync. Made quite a while ago, it only had a bandwidth of 4MHz, but was a delight to use and had other functions including the abilty to work as a spectrum analyser.
Otherwise, I just operate an old Leader scope at home; dual-beam, 20MHz, fairly adequate for my needs, though a few more megs would be nice.
