Analogue 'scope recommendations

Thanks; I didn't win the auction for the Hameg but have put in an offer for another. Would I gain knowledge though in the interim if I bought one of the toy digital scope kits (eg JYE Tech 068 DIY KIT)? I have made enquiries at my old work place (College/Science) to see if they have any stuff destined for the skip.

I have finished week one of the Coursera course (on-line) (voltage dividers, Coulomb, Kirchoff, Ohm etc) and am up to p299 (out of 800) of "Electronics for Dummies")). Breadboard is on its way... I am about to build an auto probe according to David's excellent guidance for the Vellemann sig tracer.
