There is absolutely nothing in repairing modern TV sets. Just the amount of time it takes to get the back off can make them a write off with so many fiddly screws.
Last time I looked at a flat screen after the smoothing caps had been replaced a working set had to be hacked to get a copy of the firmware that was erased by the mains ripple.
Ink jet printers are more than half way to the skip once the ink has run out. The last time I bought ink for one it ended up in a skip because the paper handling failed due to a very flimsy bit of broken plastic.
I would have a working printer again if only they were truly disposable so that you dump them when the ink runs out like a ball point pen.
