Turned out the FC13 was useless. However, I've bought a NOS FC13C on eBay so now the correct B7 base valve is available for the frequency changer. Also, a Brimar 15D2 has been purchased from the same auction site. The 15D2 is a pentagrid converter and has characteristics similar to the American 6A7. 15D2 Vh = 13V @ 015amp.
