Hi.
In the meantime I'm going to have a go at running the set up as is. The original CRT was down to air and the overwind has shorted turns on the LOPT. So I'm going to remove the overwind, run the CRT EHT externally and fit a 6.3v heater transformer for the tube as it is a 600ma heater. This will hopefully give me an idea of how this tube will look with its long persistence.
I'm hopeful that I can do this today, I'm not around tomorrow and have other important things later in the week.
