Were you aware when you chose the frequency for your pirate radio station that you were following in the footsteps of Europe's longest lasting pirate Station, Radio Veronica?
Veronica was on 192m 1562kHz but, when the channel widths were standardised at 9kHz at WARC 79 (and also made exact multiples of 9kHz) that, due to a number of non-standard 8kHz channels at the HF end of the band, the frequency of that channel jumped 4kHz higher?
