Mike is very good but there has been a few errors that have been mentioned in the past that could confuse a novice.
In the main though I'd recommend his work especially the breakdown of specs and uses.
With the respect of screening this is important on circuits that are running low HT, the low voltage dual grid valves can be cut off with a small magnet........ but conversely that phenomenon can be used to advantage as well. I've even used it for audio coupling from the inside of a small transformer less the laminations, I'm sure there would be thousands of other uses.
