I know Anne was less than impressed when she last saw my 901 "working". At the time the brightness was shifting up and down randomly (I thought because of noisy focus chain resistors but turned out to be CRT heater connections at the base) and the sound was terrible because of intermittent screeches that I have only recently tracked to a disconnected screen coating on the IF valve. It will never be in the same league as your younger sets but I'd like you both to give it another assessment.
