For anything with a croc clip on it, a bit of curtain wire stretched between 2 hooks is a handy place to store them. Mine is mostly those thin wires with a small croc clip on each end. Incredibly useful things though need repairing quite often and get progressively shorter
For longer test leads or those without croc clips some ordinary cup hooks are useful. For leads with 4mm plugs a bit of wood with a grid of 4mm holes is what we used at both school and uni.
