Doing a last inspection before running up all the signal boards so thought I'd better look at the tuner. Oh dear!
The gang rotator is completely missing. I'm not even sure what the gang rotator looks like. It's a custom bit of metal that rotates the tuning gang. It's moved to the correct position by the hex rods that are pressed in by the buttons. The mangled remains of the rotator return spring are still there.
Is there anyone with a 2000 who can photograph the relevant part for me please?
For now I can reach into the set and rotate the gang manually but getting it finely tuned will be tricky.
I also need to sort out the spring/washer assemblies that are needed for 405/625 switching. No problem for now as the set will be set to 625 only for now withthe solenoid power disconnected at the fusible resistors. I may never restore the 405 switching.
