Yup - "conventional" current flows from + to -. But the electron flow that is the current itself goes in the opposite direction. The original AVO 7 and 8 even perpetuated this by reversing the potential of the leads when switched to resistance - the red + lead goes to the - end of the battery, and vice versa""
The internal battery +ve has to be connected to the test meters -ve lead terminal so that the meter needle deflects the correct way, you need a positive voltage via the DUT on the test meter's +ve lead for correct deflection.
How else would it work on ohms?
