Careful about current and potential. Positive potential goes to the Anode, right? And current flows from the anode to the cathode?
Oh but wait - the electrons flow from the cathode to the anode.....
Yup - "conventional" current flows from + to -. But the electron flow that is the current itself goes in the opposite direction. The original AVO 7 and 8 even perpetuated this by reversing the potential of the leads when switched to resistance - the red + lead goes to the - end of the battery, and vice versa,
And any technical book that has been published with major blunders simply has not been adequately proof read.
